Comenius Program 2012/2014 Bilateral partnerships

We are schools from Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland and Spain that want to work together to build a common approach to how climate and nature can affect natural habitats in different countries. We would like to show the consequences on our daily lives and future.

The project "Culture, Climate and Nature - the responsibility for our European future", developed by a team of Samokov Vocational School of Tourism, has been approved for implementation by the Center for Human Resources Development - Sofia.

The project is funded by the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Program, the Comenius Sectoral Program, the Multilateral School Partnerships. Its duration is 2 years. The project coordinator is the German school.

With the Comenius partnership project, we would like to expand our international and European activities, together with the experience we have had so far as participation in the Lifelong Learning Program, but according to Leonardo da Vinci, Mobility

We would also like to achieve the integration of ecology and ICT not only in certain projects, but also in regular lessons. We intend for our students to be able to take part in the current discussions on energy saving and climate change, both regionally and globally.

Climate change is caused by the growing energy consumption in each country. Young people will need to learn to make decisions in their daily lives, taking into account sustainable development issues and the resources to do so.

The intention of the partnership is to enable the parties to cooperate on topics that are mainly related to English, foreign languages, natural sciences, history, arts and ICT. Each meeting will be based on a specific topic (eg "Measurement and exchange of weather data", "Historical and human aspects of climate")

Students and teachers will communicate via the Internet as they work together on projects they have identified and planned for the first international meeting.

The activities will consist of collecting data with the help of the mobile meteorological station of the school, drawing climatograms for the specific region and in comparison with the data from other regions and other countries, conducting laboratory tests to reproduce climatic processes and their modifications, analyzing energy consumption, according to consumer bills, to find ways to reduce consumption, especially in relation to the climate, collecting data on our environment, etc.

The school coordinator of the project is Mihail Mihailov
